Avalanche is a blockcain that was built to weather any storm. As a proof-of-stake platform, Avalance requires less energy than proof-of-work blockchains. It is able to handle incredibly high thoughput volume without compromizing transaction speed. Avalanche was launched in 2018 and is managed by New York-based Ava Labs.
